2026 International Workshop on Geography and Sustainability

Cities play a central role in advancing sustainable development, while also facing unprecedented challenges related to climate change, energy transition, mobility, public health, and social inequality. Geographic perspectives, integrating spatial thinking, geospatial technologies, and place-based approaches are essential for understanding and guiding sustainable urban transitions.
The International Workshop on Geography and Sustainability 2026 aims to address the challenges associated with sustainable cities development by interdisciplinary research methods, strengthen exchanges and cooperation among different disciplines, and promote the integration and innovation of geography and sustainability.
We invite session proposals, abstracts, and poster submissions addressing theoretical, methodological, or empirical issues related to sustainable cities, including (but not limited to) the following topics:

We welcome the submission of session proposals, abstracts, and posters by email at geosusworkshop2026@gmail.com.
A session proposal should include the session title, convener information, and a brief introduction such as the theme, content, objectives, and requirements.
An abstract should be a concise summary of up to 300 words, outlining the key elements of the research, including its purpose, methodology, and main conclusions.
A poster should include author information, abstract title, research background, methods, conclusions, and discussion.
Note: The author(s) of an abstract will be notified if the abstract is accepted to be presented at the Conference.
