"Dryland Productivity under a Changing Climate Workshop" was held

"Dryland Productivity under a Changing Climate Workshop" was held on June 19th 2023. The workshop was organized by IGU-GFE and the journal Geography and Sustainability. It was held both offline at Beijing Normal University and online via Tecent Meeting.

Prof. Lixin Wang from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, USA, was the lecturer of the workshop. He elucidated the complexity of dryland dynamics and highlighted often-neglected uncertainties in the observation and prediction of dryland productivity. He also synthesized recent advances in the study of dryland productivity and ecosystem function and examined debates on dryland responses to environmental changes.

Dr. Yangjian Zhang, professor of Institute of Geographic Science and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was the invited guest of the workshop. The workshop was freely open to all participants worldwide and attracted more than 350 experts, scholars, and students.
